Who is Dougie Photo?

Hi, my name is Doug Timmermann. I'm originally from Genoa, Illinois and currently reside in Sycamore, Illinois with my wife, Amy. I work on the family grain farm in Genoa, while Amy is a third grade teacher in Cortland. Amy and I recently welcomed our first child, Everett, in the beginning of September. I began my journey behind the lens attending various local baseball games and the passion continued to grow from there. I have worked with professional and collegiate summer league baseball teams in the past providing content for consumption online and for social media. Under the tutelage of my dear friend, Jodi Richards, I honed in on my skills while photographing through JK Richards Photography, since 2015. Primarily covering Genoa-Kingston athletics and activities since then, I have thoroughly enjoyed striving to learn and better myself as a photographer. With new beginnings in life, the opportunity presented itself for me to continue pursuing photography endeavors on my own. And with that, Dougie Photo was created.

But who is Dougie Photo? For me personally, "Dougie" is an embodiment of keeping things on the lighter side while maintaining a high level of professionalism necessary to ensure the trust of those around me. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my photography with those around me and aim to highlight everyone.
